The Lonely Goatherd

Renaissance Performing Arts Association's Summer 2006 production of The Sound of Music. This scene in the movie is where the kids and Maria sing "My Favorite Things" but in the stage version, "Lonely Goatherd" is sung here. I'm playing Liesl, the "Lonely Goatherd" haha, in this scene.

I sort of remember a different song sung in bed... it was one of "my favorite things" in the movie.

Haha, yeah that is the film version. In the stage play, "My Favorite Things" is a song between the Mother Abbess and Maria before she leaves for the VonTrapps', and this is where Lonely Goatherd fits in!

In the original Rogers and Hemmerstein stage version, Favorite Things is sung earlier before Maria leaves for the Vontrap Mansion.

I know that in the Dutch version, they sing The lonely goatherd when it's raining and my favorite things before Maria goes to the house op captain von Trapp.
