No, he didn't. He continued racing after the crash, but damage from the accident eventually forced him to retire from the race.
I wish someone would post more clips of the race - I was present and it was awesome, but my VCR didn't record the race because a brief power otuage at my hosue reset the timer... And the Champ Car website doesn't ahve the highlights psoted on it!
