I decided to try digiscoping with my Leupold 12-40x60 Gold Ring spotting scope and Panasonic PV-GS300 mini-dv camcorder. I took a small piece of PVC pipe and glued a camcorder filter adapter ring on one and end just put a clamp on the other end to clamp down on the apotting scope. The pvc, clamp adapter ring and glue cost around $10. The video here doesn't do justice to the quality.

  • So poor it's pointless! At the wide end the vignette makes it look as though you're looking through a toilet roll and at the long end it's blurred and subject to vibration which you'll never cure while you're trying to handle it as well.

  • vibration @ high zoom is a bitch...

  • i wanna get a scope for my ghillie
