In Memory of Kayla Ivette DeJesus

The day our lives changed forever -Saturday, October 6, 2007 — An ATV crash in Stanfield took the life of a 13-year-old girl over the weekend.

Kayla Ivette Dejesus was driving the all-terrain vehicle, or four-wheeler, with a pre-teen juvenile passenger when the crash occurred around 6 p.m. Saturday.

The two were riding through a cut cornfield off Renee Ford Road adjacent to 239 Gem Lane where Dejesus mother was working.

A sharp turn toppled the vehicle over onto Dejesus causing her fatal injuries and injuring the 12-year-old passenger.

Please don't let your kids ride these ATV's without adult supervision.

this is so sad. last summer this 8 year old i knew was rideing an atv and broke his neck and died very sad!!!!
