  • Amazing! This is the most misleading propoganda I have ever seen. Emergentvillage rejects every doctrinal essential of Christian faith! This is an anti-faith movement invading the church to make us conform to the world. Wolves in sheeps clothing!

  • I am not big on Christians turning on other Christians so I will just say, after spending a year studying the Emergent church (including time at the church here and speaking to each othe guys in the video) and the emerging church movment (two different things, I do suggest stearing clear of the teachings of Emergent and I would not recommend the book.

  • Even one does not agree with emergant theology. It amazes me how christians deny scriptural teaching for social or lets say biblical good works to wards neighbor and the world. We have made consumer capitalism so much our God,that we don't even know how to think it terms of community well being instead of consumer self interest "profit".It makes me sick.....Please check out on Youtube a video titled the "The Mondragon experiment" it is not to long.Study "Distributism" Thanks

  • Mainline Protestantism has come up with gimmick after gimmick to keep the illusion alive that it's "relevant" and "progressive" and "prophetic"; it's still over 90% White and middle/upper middle class. It's preached "diversity" while remaining as tediously bland and simpering and prim as it was under Eisenhower. It this is the best it can do, throwing yet another set of buzzwords around, no wonder the fastest-growing segment of the US religious identity "pie" is "None of the Above".

  • its a very dangerous thing to preach another way of salvation......

  • we get watery liberal here who stand for nothing. the trouble is the other side of the coin is othorodox fundamentalists who are every bit a bigotted as these liberals see. and despise.

so there is NOWHERE to go . . . .

    but christ in person

  • note, the word god was mentioned ONCE, christ, jesus faith, and grace not at all. and the word gospel was twisted totally. they are talking about something they invented, jut another pointless irrelevance burbling in the corner, which is what theworld actually wants

they can play their feel good games without me, as the rock song says THEY GOT NOTHING I WANT THEY GOT NOTHING I NEED

  • @qaileys I wish I had something really spiffy and awe inspiring to say as I do not so I will leave it as this-AMEN!

  • What is Christianity? It is repentance and faith in Christ and then following Christ and His Words. These people are reinterpreting the simple message of the Bible to fit a post-modern world because they have created a Jesus that doesn't exist in the scriptures. It is almost as if they are ashamed of Jesus adn what He has said and stands for.

  • Tony Jones tried to sell me black tar heroin, and then proceeded to suggest I have a late-term abortion.

  • For others it is about how we can lie and slander those who we disagree with because-1. They use the bible whichy is practically a sin to base practice on the bible 2 How to undermine the bible 3 how to hypocritically dog consumerism and then write as many booksa as we can and publish as quickly as we can building a niche market 4 how can we lie about others and when called to account cry foul-your not loving enough

  • Yeah isn't it. What a shame.
