box squats are wayy harder, anyone that says otherwise either isnt box squatting correctly or doesnt lift very much. i know from personal experience, i box squatted yesterday and was struggling with weight that is normally easy for me without the box

box squats, done at the correct height of an inch or two below parallel, are for sure harder than back squats. anyone saying otherwise is squatting on a box thats too high.

wow box squats are much harder than regular squats. you don't get any stretch reflex at the bottom and it really teaches you to explosively use your hips glutes and hammies. shit thats impressive.

yea im a 15 yr old sophmore OT/DT. I box squat 605 and Deadlift 600 so thats nothing. Im Uploading vids soon.

i think you can do more with box squats... for ex i usually max out back squats around 475, but today i tried box squats and i got 495 for 5 reps, so just from personal experience it definitely feels easier than regular squats.

you can usually handle more weight on a box squat i think
-
its easier,
box squats tell you how low u have to go,instead of back squats where u think that ur goin low enough when u are or not,you just feel the box and go right back up

Is a box squat more hard then a back squat?
No you don't.

Box squats are harder, in all of Louie Simmmons literature you can see they back squat a lot more than they box. Box squats are harder because the two phases are seperated, and there is no kinetic energy helping you to move the weight back up. It also uses your hamstrings and major muscles more than the back squat will.
