Frenzy Barbarian vs Diablo Clone

It's Ladder 2009. The stuff is pretty much what I found from both my necromancer and the barbarian. I went from two hours the first time I bagged an Annihilus to just over 2.5 minutes.

The gear I used:

Which just goes to show that it can be done even if you don't have eBOTD, Beast and Enigma.

Unless you poison them with lots of -% enemy poison resistance and high damage, there is no way to break the healing with just open wounds. You would HAVE to have enough physical impact to hurt them. I don't know if they heal AS you fight them, I only know they'll start healing madly if you're not attacking them. I'm trying to remember back to when I failed miserably with a poorly built summon necro whether the Uber Diablo healed or not as my troopers were fighting him.

@Viper00799 No, the Ubers will heal even while they're taking damage. Exception is the 8 seconds they're decorating in crimson. They'll start right back up if you don't cause OW within that time, though.

I think, though if you revive half a dozen Urdar with your minions or so to take him on, you can tank enough damage to kill them. Even then, you'd need quite a bit of +skill gear to do so. And Enigma or some teleport item to keep them from wandering off.

Oh and uhhh.. yeah... no... I would not be able to hit something 20 levels higher than me with only a few hundred attack rating XD! That malice works for you, but malice on a caster is asking to be killed... lol. Alright uh Modighen, Prevent Monster Heal does NOT work on Uber Diablo or Uber tristram's bosses. I just read and confirmed this on multiple sites. I have also read that there is no way to offset the healing aside from high impact damage. (cont)

@Viper00799 Diablo Clone? Yes it does. The time PMH doesn't work on Dclone is when it's a hireling doing the attacks.

Uber Tristram? You're correct, they ignore PMH. And open wounds does prevent healing for its 8-second duration. Of course, you'll have to land a hit first, and you have to keep causing OW while you're doing the damage. Whenever it stops, they'll start regenerating.

It sucked too cause I was on ladder and wanted an annihilus or die trying (all I have is a tal rasha sorc with no sorc torch. lol XD) I was hoping to test against uber diablo... if a tal sorc actually did kill uber diablo though, tal rasha sorc would be godly amongst everybody! :)

@Viper00799 Cheat. Use Malice to make him stop healing then switch back to complete your set. He won't regenerate once he's been hit with a Prevent Monster Heal item. Infinity would be a perk, because that would bring down his resistances, but still difficult and expensive.

By the way, I no longer have the summoner spec :(. He is respeced into poison now. Summoners seem impossible without enigma :P. And getting any enigma is hard enough... lol. I just decided on poison necro :P. Has very little -% enemy psn resist, but does have almost 7k nova :D. He's best on hell cow :D, land of the moo moo.

Lol! 2 since 2007!? That's insane. XD. Hmm I did change my tal sorc out for more magic finding. She got 350% magic find, and if I abuse nightmare andariel enough times, maybe she'll drop the golden prize >.>... although if you really wanted to go overboard you could just bunch up 1000% magic find on a fire sorc and own nightmare andariel XD, but that would take so long to make a magic finder with THAT much %. One hr = one 7 mf sc :*(

@Viper00799 There used to be (and apparently still are) those groups who have "renegade runs" where they all offer up 7 SoJs each, and sell them until he walks. Although I've only found 2 since 2007, there are some who do have better luck than others in scoring those rings.
