PLEASE READ...

some WAL playing and more on my selfmade beech didgeridoo.

to the painting i have to say:
i really like the straight and slightly abstract art that magos around wugularr are decorated with. so i decided to create a finish according to this style by myself.

i really have big respect and awe for traditional paintings and their spiritual significances!

so i used (amongst others) green color (which is never used in traditional way to my knowledge) to point out that this is not a aboriginal stick! when i play it, its clear that it isnt *LOL*. i build it for personal use only and it is not my aim to profane spiritual or religious aboriginal symbols. hope nobodys feelings are hurt. if so, please tell me...

  • Your Didge sounds great, & I do like the paint. I am liking the homemade didges more & more each time I see them. Thanks!

  • nice didge!

i like the colours, style and the effects you painted on it.

ive made agave didges and i too paint them so not to clash with aboriginal culture.

    (especially where i live)

    cheers

  • its sounds good but theres a little holding back might be a leak or the micro phone?

  • nice ;)

  • @sk84ever20025 pvc pipe. 1.5"... around 40" long is a good starting point. i started at 55" but it is harder. Get PURE beeswax (super cheap in bulk online or from a beekeeper) and make a mouthpiece for it (use google for help). Practice.

  • i started with a PVC pipe, get one cut tit to size and melt candel wax around the end as a mouth peice

  • If I want to purchase a didgeridoo and I have never played one before what should I get??

  • thats an awesome didge

  • whilst i do believe in cultural sensitivity and respect for other's beliefs to a certain extent, the indigenous people of australia should be pleased that at least their culture lives on, even if others steal from it, considering the amount of mindless cultural destruction so much else has faced over the past few centuries.

  • wow, what a nice didge. I love it!
