ESL Lesson Demonstration - Language House TEFL Prague

ESL Lesson Demonstration. Chris Westergaard, head trainer and director of The Language House TEFL in Prague, demonstrates TEFL techniques with a lexis based lesson taught to intermediate students. The 45 minute lesson is cut into a 6 minute video that showcases the main steps of a lesson from start to end. Pay attention to error correction, eliciting, monitoring, student to student interactions, STT and humor that Chris brings to the lesson. The Language House TEFL in Prague is a 4 week TEFL Training course in Prague. The month long course offer 12 hours of observed teaching practice and a total of 130 hours of classroom time.

what do you do when you are with a group and the other groups are chatting to each other and making mistakes?

you try to listen to multiple groups at once. It's tricky but possible. Overall, you're rotating and bouncing between groups helping the students and trying to correct the mistakes without disrupting their fluency and output
