Heard problems with the BIOS not working properly. Did any of the new updates fix any of the problems?

@EliteSoldier112 Depends on which bios version you are starting with. The bios that came with my board we un able to boot windows 7 and an update fixed it pronto. Worste cases I have heard reported with the bios is some updates made high over clocks unstable but have since been fixed. Basically EVGA = Win. If you are considering buying one just do it and you'll be glad you did.

I've ordered this board and waiting for it to arrive. Was watching this vid whilst looking at a huge pic of the mobo to see where everything goes, connectors etc. its the last piece of my puzzle before i can put together my comp for the first time, so been watching alot of tutorials.

I believe the pci-e slots are 16x, 8x , 4x and 4x, im sure they are not all 16x.

and yes no ide is legendary haha

Yah two sata. the Pcie set up is weird top to bottom it goes (not counting the 1x) 16x, 8x, 4x, 8x....... pretty much I think they only every intended to do a two way sli/xfire and a third card for phsyx. I don't think I hit that point well in the vid but u don't have to use phsyx cards, a lot of 8 and 9 series cards can be used if you have any old ones.

what type of build are you going for with this board? im going unconventional hd 5850, considering the board is SLI ready and all. looks like il need another 2 sata II cables for my extra hdd and ssd

kingston hyper x 1600 6gigs. I wanted one of the 5870 lightning that just came out at $500 dollars so i don't think I will use one now. I have a i7 920 and I am clocking it up to 4ghz, 1tb hdd 7200 rpm and I am waiting for bestbuy to get the corsair 850w modular psu in stock. I have a Cooler Master Haf on the way which I will do a complete tear down and paint job and I am making a video of the whole process too.

it got fixed by an update it was probably for using 1600MHZ memory ram

1: 16x single gpu. 8x When running sli or cf.

2: PCI 1x slot

3: 8x Slot for 2way sli

4: PCI slot

5. 4x Slot for running a dedicated physx card.

6. 8x slot for 3 way sli.

NOTE when running 2 way or 3 way sli they will be running in 8x/8x/8x
