Miller obtained his Ph.D in Biology from the University of Colorado in 1974, is a contributing author to a series of Pretince Hall Biology textbooks, as well as the following books dealing with finding common ground and reconciling evolution and religion in today's society.

In this lecture Ken Miller discusses the controversy surrounding the teaching of evolution, presents compelling evidence for evolution and reasons why "intelligent design" is not scientific.

What I like most about these videos is that he is a christian. As an atheist I have run into SO many people that don't understand evolution and fall back on primitive, and wrong, information to back up their views. What Mr Miller is able to do is impressive. He separates evolution and dogma in such a way that christians, if they wanted to, could fully educate themselves and NOT lose faith. Yeah, the creationists would still be dumbfounded but there is nothing that can be done about that.

I am confused by the fact that he believes in god but that takes nothing away from his inspirational speaking on science and his great teaching ability. Glad to have him on the side of science.

Ken Miller is incredible, and usually 110% right on his facts... but I should point out that while evolution doesn't suggest that we evolved from modern apes, our ancestors were still definitely in the ape family, just as we still are.

But I admit, this is syntax I'm arguing.
