Tony shows how we've been cutting bodies out forever, and we now have a CNC machine for doing the same work, both are going at the same time today! Tony does it faster so far...

  • The pin router is an old SCMI R8. This machine is still available (I see them on ebay often) usually $500-$2500 depending on condition. There are lots of other good pin routers brands also available. KBR

  • Yeah, our CNC process is still a little slow, but as we add more items to the program, it is starting to get pretty cool.

We actually are using both hand and automated methods for various processes. Still having fun, making guitars. KBR

  • No, actually there is a template on the bottom of the jig. There is a pin that follows the pattern, right under the cutting head. KBR

  • Poor Tony, he has to work faster than the CNC to keep his job :)

  • Sure Tony's faster but the cnc is cutting round overs and carves from the looks of it.
