Boomsma Concentration - NOVA project in Zurich's RailCity

NOVA is a three-dimensional display system installed at the Zurich main train station.

Mixing in the fourth dimension:
If one divides space into very small parts and applies the most important physical equations to each of them, the mixing of fluids and gases can be efficiently calculated. This technique e. g. makes it possible to observe the transport of substances in the human bloodstream or the mixing of fuels in combustion engines in cars. For this project, Marcus Maeder programmed a musical score for an animated model of fluid and gas flow using brightness and feedback.
