The outreach work of Ação Harmonia Brazil - a non-profit organization commited to bring some peace and hope to poor children through the practice of aikido.
@Doberman, I guess you should define what you mean by "fake". I suppose you mean it "doesn't work" as a self defense modality (that's the main critic against Aikido).
To me, even if it was the case, it would not be very important, because we're talking about a "Do": a "way" to improve, to develop perception, sensitivity, vision, body coordination... And as such it's certanly very good for kids or for any human being in search of a better understanding and mastering of himself.
@DOBERMAN7203 Aikido is far from being fake. It's based on scientific principles that aren't easily understood (or mastered!) You can get a black belt in Karate fairly easily in 2 or 3 years of training; In Aikido, 10 years is common, with the transition to street-effective techniques often longer (or never, in some schools) I've been studying and teaching Aikido for over 13 years, and it works quite well for me working as a bouncer.
Truly amazing. This is what Aikido is all about. I love how that one girl mentions learning how not to be shy through her training. This is one of the countless things I have gotten out of my own training. Keep up the good work :D
