What is the porpose of moving where the red line is? Does it make it not rev any higher than that? Just wondering if anybody knows. Thanks

@vetteboy453 That's exacly right. The red line moves depending on oil temperature and preasure and so on. It takes like 5 minutes for it to get all the way up on idle from a cold start. You can't rev any higher than the redline, it's put there to protect the engine while it's cold.
