In "Counterfeit Gods", Tim Keller talks about replacing our idols (pride included) through worshiping Jesus. This takes the focus off of us and our pride, replacing it with focus on Jesus, leading us to acts of service for Him and others.

@The3penguins123 How many Lies do you think you have told in your life? Ever stolen anything, even something small? Have you ever looked at a person with lust? Ever used GOD's name in vain? If you have, GOD sees you as a Lying, thieving, blasphemous, adulterer at heart. The Guilty will end up in Hell. That's not GOD's will. You broke GOD's laws, but Jesus paid your fine! (IF) you Repent, and trust in Christ alone, GOD will forgive every sin you have ever committed, and grant you Eternal life!

@innocentul he admits that he is proud, listen to 3:10. He never claims that he is some standard that peons should follow, but our standard is Jesus. Don't look at Mark, look at Jesus.

@The3penguins123 it is most likely you are going to remain gay for the rest of your life, just like how everyone will stay proud all their life. the solution is not to kill the problem, because you can't, but it is to always fight it, till your last breath. Just because you are gay doesn't mean it is harder for you, you may have to always be fighting that aspect about you, but the same is true for a really selfish person they have to also fight it all their lives. do you get me?
