@ionutz1791 greatest romanian baritone, and one of the best of all time. Listen to his romanian rendition of Largo al Factotum, probably the best out there.

excellent interpretation!

Amazing!!! Thanks.

@ionutz1791 Are you joking???? He sang Figaro 550 times! Unfortunately a lot of the Herlea recordings have been played with to death in the studio. Sounds like someone has compressed the sound way too much to make the voices darker and bigger. His voice was not this big or this muddy, listen to the live recording of him doing tosca to hear what he actually sounded like.

@ionutz1791 He may be great in his other works but here he is really bad. I can't imagine he sang too much Rossini but then again anything's possible.

@babydrane that"horrible" bariton not bass is Nicolae Herlea...the greatest roumanian baritone...so please learn to apreciate the voices....
-
Krilovici is quite good but the bass (more of a baritone) is horrible.
-
Great memories! Thank you for posting!!!

stie cineva cand a fost inregistrat acest spectacol ? / does anybody know where this performance was record ?

Very good voices, but the sound doesn't seem to be what they're doing at the video. It's strange, maybe it's my ears, whatever. I liked Herlea a lot. veru good man! What a big voice! and beautiful color and timbre!
so you started posting the unique KRILOVICI..... bravo and THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You are so right. This is terrific and I had not heard Krilovici--beautiful timbre in the voice and well paired with one of my favorite baritones in Herlea.
