Simply an incredible opening to THE GREATEST apocalyptic set action movie ever. Nothing even comes remotely close to this.

this what the the world would be like after zeitgeist and the like, when i watch this film every few years i ususally have a different car and i always think how well my car would lol its a civic type r at the moment so at least its good for 150mph but it is bight light for getting damaged but when i had a mk 4 golf gti turbo i thiught its not super fast but its solid a fk for smashing people

The global meltdown is just happening. Greece is on the verge of collapse and that may well start the dominoes falling. All because of greedy bankers and Wall Street.

The world is closer to this scenario that you might think. It very nearly happened in late 2008 before the government stepped in and "saved" Wall Street. In this scenario is was the banking collapse that started a whirlwind of chaos....Tens of millions of lost jobs, mass riots, food and fuel interruptions, marshall law, water supplies cut, etc. Its pretty scary how quickly the chain of our society can break down. Without a stable money supply, fuel, water, heat....your civilization crumbles.

the mighty tribes referred to in this intro, could have been the middle east and western nations, say iran and the west, iran shut off the straits of hormuz which brought the west into the war to protect the oil supplies, which would set the middle east on fire and destroy the oil supplies and the flame engulfed them all could have been a mother of all wars fought over what left of the oil which ended in a nuclear war after all fuel supplies ran out to run the armies.

@Shemassault You mean "descendants", but I otherwise agree. I don't think it was an all-out nuclear war, but a limited one that still did a lot to destroy what was left of the old world after oil production halted. We see the radioactive water, but not any radiation scarred people (except possibly Lord Humungus, and those could just be burn wounds from war). And if Sydney was nuked I doubt those kids and Master could easily re-settle the place.

The people are becoming unrest in the middle east. Rioting as they have had enough of thier leaders. The revolution for so many countries is drawing closer and closer....

@0xZenx0 I like to think that nuclear war happened after Road Warrior. There was never any indication that it happened before and it's true the way I see it. First there was a war, then society crumbled (MM and RW), and right after RW there was a nuclear war, everyone ran away from cities some via planes like parents of those 'crack in the earth' kids. They left, crashed and 15 years later Max finds them. That's why they're still kids. They're ancestors of people running away from nuclear war.
