Video: The capture of suspected pirates from a response to a vessel distress signal from Coast Guard Law Enforcement Detachment Team 409 while operating under Combined Task Force 151.
This video comes to us compliments of the U.S. Navy and was produced by Mass Communications Specialist Eric L. Beauregard. Coast Guard and Navy personnel are working together closely on anti-piracy efforts around the world and we appreciate the Navy's permission to include this video in our Video of the Year contest.

LT Greg Ponzi: Law Enforcement Detachment 409 does a boarding of a suspect pirate motor ship after receiving a distress call from a nearby merchant vessel. The boarding resulted in the discovery of a large weapons cache including RPGs and the apprehension of suspect Somali pirates.
