"You don't need a greenhouse, you don't even need a garden, just a pot of soil, a packet of seeds and a greedy disposition"

James Wong is on a personal mission to get Britain growing exciting and interesting crops with his Home grown Revolution. The fact that the British diet has become infinitely more exciting and varied over the past 50 years or so has not been reflected in the types of crops that we grow. In this clip, James tells us about a few of the interesting crops he has grown in his own front garden.

James Wong has trialled literally hundreds of varieties in his garden and for his best-selling gardening book, Homegrown Revolution, has only chosen varieties that are extremely easy to grow, taste fantastic and are decorative in the garden.

In this clip, we find out about the golden orbs of Inca berries, each encased in their own paper lanterns. The tiny grape-sized fruit of cucamelons with their cucumber taste with a hint of lime. Or how about the disco-coloured ears of Popcorn Fiesta? And did you know that if you are struggling with spinach, you should try the multi coloured supergrains of quinoa. And find out why growing Electric Daisies are great for parties!

For your own Homegrown Revolution, James has developed his Homegrown Revolution range with Suttons Seeds. Click here to see the full range. AND if you buy James' best selling gardening book - Suttons will also send you 6 packets of seed from his exciting new range COMPLETELY FREE!
