@AWDESIGNS8 Yes Zachary was on the Oil and when he was 5 years had a Bone Marrow Transplant due to the progression of the disease...the BMT didn't work. Thanks for your beautiful comments <3

I was also born in 1996, I have the same tricycle at 1:38 he has! Oh and Barney, yes Barney was so popular back then, I still have all my stuffed animal Barneys!

Zachary was on Lorenzo's Oil from the time he was diagnosed at age 3 (he had not symptoms then) until a month before his 6th birthday when he received his bone marrow transplant. Unfortunately, it didn't help him. Thanks for asking and your kind thoughts.....!

Zachary was diagnosed when he was three years old (1996). He passed away when he was 8 years old (2002).

Hi my name is Maggie and I am writing a paper on Lorenzos Oil and I am in tears and I had never heard of ALD and I am in tears because of the movie and then to see your beautiful angelic baby boy and to see the video is just so sad but I can see that he had some loving parents and had a good life of love, laughter and joy. Just wanted to say Zachary is one of the most beautiful babies that I have ever seen, to beautiful for earth, so he was taken to be an angel! My cousin passed away 18 months ago at the age of 23 and it was heartbreaking, I count my blessings for the 14 years I had with him, but for someone so young, I Can't even imagine what you've been through but just wanted to let you know people care & think of you & your family, and you will be in my prayers this evening!Goodnight,God bless!

i was on here watching a vieo made in honor of my sister who passed away and i came across this video of your son. my heart goes out to you and your family for the loss of your beautufl boy. i realized while watching this video, that even though none of us have ever met, we are all here to help each other and give one another strength. your video gave me strenth to get back up and face my day again. Thank you for your beautiful tribute to Zachary. I'm learning about ALD, because I received a call recently that I am a potential match for a 12 year old boy with the same thing. I had never heard of it before. I pray for this boy, and I thank you for sharing your story. I pray for your family, too. (Great song choice, by the way.)
