@mpfinkel Well I think the definition of great music depends on the era that you grew up in. I don't particularly care for the Beatles or the Stones. I do think AIC ranks as one of the best bands to ever perform. I think Layne Staley is unmatched vocally but a long shot. However, I was born in 78, I grew up with AIC, GNR etc. My Mom says I have no taste in music, I think Elvis is awful. It's a generation thing. AIC was the shot in the arm a stagnant music scene needed in the late 80's.

@mpfinkel They're great. If they hadn't been there for inspiration Layne Staley probably wouldn't have been. But what they created was a monster, and he far surpassed all of them.
