This is the 2nd flight of my Compass Knight 600E. It's equipped with the stock Compass motor, 8S 3700 mah Common Sense RC lipos, and a Hobby Wing Platinum 120A-HV ESC from HeliDirect. This is a review model for InsideHeli.com podcast. Thanks go to KBDD, LLC, Common Sense RC and HeliDirect for sponsoring the review.

  • Holy crapola, that be a big heli :-) it seems to fly nice and smooth.

  • Yessir, big and smooth. Love it!

  • I also bought a platinum ESC 80A for my swift, spool up is interesting! How do you rate the governor it sounds like it's holding the head speed quit well. Still not sure what to make of the manual for calculating the head speed tho.

Nice flying, looks like a great heli.

  • The governor seems to be pretty decent. Not quite like the Jazz in my Protos, but what is? I haven't tried to calculate the headspeed, a club-mate has a 'sky tach' so we set it to what I wanted by dialing it around in the radio and checking it with the tach.

  • a tach is probably the best way to do it but i do not have one myself or someone that has so i have to do it with math for now. Will post a video of my swift with this setup ones i have got it flying.

  • Yep, it has a label on the side and you can clearly see it spin up. Neat!

  • That's the 1st time i've seen an outrunner spinning
