There are some minor mistakes but i don't care. Sorry for the low quality I used a cellphone to record this video.

  • hey man.. i'm thinking of buying this guitar. how is it? anything suckish? the bridge? pickups? nice playing anyways =)

  • @DannyDesman Thank you man! Anyway this guitar is pretty good! It's very light and easy to play both sitting and standing. The bridge is just awesome, it stays in tune like no other guitar I ever had. The pickups are sharp and powerful and perfect for playing lead. If I must complain about something, the sound of the lower strings is not as powerful as I expected from active pickups (it doesn't sound "deep" and "warm" like an LP, just to say), but that's just a minor issue.

  • Fixed bridges are always better over edge 3

    ..go for xiphos xp300fx.!!

  • @Bucketheadtwo LOL!!

  • I have the flat black one.

  • @TheMetalHeaD256 would you recommend this over the xiphos xpt700 or the falchion over the xiphos in general?

  • @DannyDesman the bridge can hold up to a lot, as far as actual use goes. the problem is that idiots don't know how to adjust the action on it correctly.

you have to loosen the strings and disconnect the springs in order to adjust the action. otherwise, the knife edges will grind dull. it's the user's fault if the tremolo goes bad after they adjust it. almost all tremolos do this.

the only other problem with the trem is that the whammy bar design isn't so crisp, but that's fairly minor imo.

  • @philipwindblack there isn't a neck-through version of this particular guitar. the closest thing to this guitar would be the XPT700. less extreme of a body shape and it's got DiMarzio pickups instead of Ibanez's own pickups. i've played it and was very impressed.

but if you want the body shape of this guitar and the Ibanez pickups, you'll have to live with a bolt-on neck. though i wouldn't lose sleep over it... Ibanez does good bolt-ons.

  • I really like this guitar is it neck through if not is their a neck through model? as far as the bridge goes I think Ibanez makes the best non Kahler / Floyd Rose trem but as with all trems its all in the set-up.
