Singapore Airlines B777-300ER Landing At Changi Airport

Landing at Changi Airport on this Singapore Airlines B777-300ER (9V-SWB) at 12pm. You can clearly see the aircraft pitching its nose down as flaps were further extended at 3:19, to compensate for the increase in lift in the wings and perhaps to intercept the glideslope at the same time. We were assigned to land on 02L so during the final approach you can get a good bird's-eye view of the South-east side of Singapore, which includes Marine Parade, Bedok, Simei, as well as Changi Business Park! Probably one of the smoothest landings I've ever had!

i didn't know pilot can deploys spoilers in mid-air, don't it disturb air flow on the wing and kill the lift and cause stall?

@energycondensed That's the whole point of it. The pilots deployed spoilers to slow down the aircraft as well as to make it descend faster to put the aircraft on the right descent path.

Actually when airborne, it's called Speed Brakes, on ground, it's caled Ground spoilers and those work also together with flight controls to optimize the control of the aircraft at low speeds
