Eva Cernik Romani1

Turkish Romani dance, light style, performed by Eva Cernik. Eva is a dance teacher in USA, instructing Oriental Dance (Raqs Sharqi) and some folkloric styles, such as Turk Roman, which she learned by studying with Roma in Sulukule/Istanbul and by personally observing regular "Roma folk" dancing freely at their own festivals and celebrations, in their homes, and at special events created by Eva for her small dance-tour groups. Some of her teachers have been Yesim and Reyhan, and some non-Roma such as Dr. Serpil, Birgul, Sema, and Tayyar.
