The annual Alliance Management/Leadership Institute (AMI) of the Nonprofit Leadership Alliance is the largest symposium focused specifically on nonprofit sector workforce development preparation in the United States. AMI 2012 (held January 3-6 at the Westin Crown Center Hotel in Kansas City, MO) brought together nearly 300 academic professionals and nonprofit leaders and over 600 socially conscious, career-minded students and for the purpose of learning, networking, and completion of national certification in Nonprofit Management/Leadership and the corresponding CNP (Certified Nonprofit Professional), which is the only national nonprofit management leadership credential developed with, and recognized by, the nonprofit sector.
