his voice is incredibly strong- it has to be the recording though! you really never know these days how good a singer actually is. but if only he could have this massive voice carry in real life, it would be a joy to hear!

Unbelieveable! Titus was at first a pop bari-tenor in Berstein's Mass. When I first heard him live he was running around buck naked except for a gold lame jock strap singing the tenor part of Nero. Then he sang light baritone comic and operetta parts at NY City Opera. A dozen years later and I heard him as Ford. A dozen years later I hear him as Ford - he had become a legitimate Verdi baritone. Now he reappears as a Helden Bariton. What's next?

It's HUGE and, of course, the audio engineer had the last say. I like its power, though and wish, despite sacrilege, they'd 'enhance' George London's rendering of this into the full-contact squealing assault, a take-down of slash & broken glass, brutalicious old-school mayhem, a buzz-saw, fortus-crashing blur of ear-bleed awe & even more awesome ramp-dropping, like, Hell kicked sidewise.....face-melting....as it was assuredly meant to be.....BRAVO, Alan!

good ears. VERY in tune.nice sing-song play-out, as I believe it should be. Wagner reminds us its just the theatre after all. Wonderful singing..

Yes, he does but the differences in recording technology make comparing the Hotter video at this site to this one somewhat difficult.

He sounds like the second coming of Hans Hotter. Quite impressive.
