as if a mystery is some how a terrible term. It remains a mystery how the Big Bang first occured. For that matter its a mystery how from nothing came something. I know the arguements that the universe is eternal but all the recent data shows the opposite. So my prayers are for your conversion back to the faith and I wish you well with all of your endevours

I think the biggest problem causing people to become believers is a traumatic event or situation in which they "see" god or jesus and are convinced of their existence. I recently came out to my mother as an athiest and we got into a little argument back and forward, i made some good points but she didnt yield. She says she just KNOWS god and jesus are real because of an experience she had when i was 10. she wont tell me what happened, but thats the only thing not making her think logically. :(

10 years ago I would have said people are too smart to believe the stuff they were saying (preaching). I thought it was a means to an end, especially the politicians. But 9-11 and the you-tube personal videos has given me a different view and I think it is more the indoctrination and being a little bit gullible. I guess we are all gullible about some things at some point in our lives, and some people just never change their minds.

If you could answer why you were gullible and could figure out how to get others to see it - then we could quickly and finally overturn the religions.
