Mississippi State Redshirt freshman Quarterback Tyler Russell completes his first touchdown pass to Brandon Heavens in MSU's season opener against Memphis. Russell ended the game 13 of 16 for 256 yards and four touchdowns while throwing no interceptions.
actually if it werent a DB from Memphis it would have been picked it basically went right through his hands, try to do that tonight with AU and see what happens!!! WAR EAGLE!!

@Dpaul225 Possibly, but looking at individual frames the ball was about six inches away from being within reach of the Memphis DB's hands. I can't say that it wouldn't have been picked off by another DB, though, as some will be taller or will have the ability to jump higher than this guy. I'll be on the field tonight, too! Hopefully there'll be some good shots to be gotten from both teams!

honestly, that pass should have been picked off, but other than that russell looked pretty good in his debut

@golfaddict44 Actually, when I was scrubbing through this shot frame by frame, the only way it could have been picked off would be if that DB could have jumped higher or had slightly longer arms.
