Chris Birch - Enduro / Outride

I had the pleasure of spending two days training with Chris in Nottingham Road, Natal, South Africa recently. The video was shot in an abandoned building ( with polished concrete floor ) we discovered while on an outride in the hills of Hilton.

Chris Birch is a KTM Factory Rider, Red Bull Athlete, multiple Red Bull Romaniacs and Roof of Africa Extreme Enduro event winner.

William Gillit aka Wild Will is Chris' teammate.

( The video was taken on a GoPro HD, which sadly was kept in my Hydrapak for the duration of the outride, there were just too many enclosed forest areas for it to be worn on my helmet, I only got a few minutes of video, the edit was my first attempt at using Final Cut Pro X, and actually my first attempt at editing video ).

im new to your channel, and i live in the U.S. i race desert over here in california and try to do enduro riding and some endurocross. how wer u able to train with him?

@KTMdirtlover Chris spent 2011 racing in South Africa, he'll be racing here in 2012 as well. Chris is a coach, even back in New Zealand. He takes groups or one on ones for riding weekends etc. Anyway, the guy is something else, I've never seen riding like that before.

The hill Chris climbs at 1:10 is insanely steep in reality, video as we know does not capture this, it looks virtually flat in the video. To make that climb, you need to pretty much flat tap it all the way up.
