Liz may have slight similarity to Jude in the lower vocal registers but they are a long way from being alike. Also, the stuff of Common Ground has more of a big brassy sound than what the Shepherd Trio put out.
Liz is still finding her way but she's a well-rounded talent - sings well, composes and plays beautifully. You should hear her 2 versions of Anne Murray's Danny's Song - one is a capella, both are excellent.

To me she sounds like a lightweight version Jude Swift. Check out Jude's cds from the 1980's on Amazon and tell me if you don't agree. I wonder if that's where Shepherd copped her style?

I admit I don't know Jude Swift but will check it out on Amazon...in regards to copping her style, I think all musical styles are a connected one to the other...there are many influences and currents, musical styles that mix many styles, etc...just my thoughts.
