  • which is recommended.....breathing out from your mouth or from your nose?:) nice vid...tai chi forever....!!!! tnx for posting

  • dear cryonicwrrior7

ideally: in and out through the nose, with the tongue on the roof of the mouth. however if the body gets too hot, you can breathe out through the mouth. many thanks for you comment, glad you like the video.

  • David Carradine says always in through nose and out through mouth on his Tai Chi Workout for Beginners CD which also has good Chi Kung on it. This video is terrific for visuals.

  • Thanks for your comment. There are differences of opinion on this, but most Qigong teachers say to breathe in and out through the nose. I hope to get a version with sound uploaded soon. Best wishes.

  • Thankyou for replying, i hope i didn't sound rude. It is easier to breathe through the nose. I have another question: how far apart should feet be when simply walking? Thank you for your time, actually i love the silence of this video, but will be happy to find another one from you.

  • hi there,

You didn't sound rude at all. RE: feet -about shoulder width for most of these exercises. For tai chi walking about the same- but important not to over-reach when you step and place the foot empty on the ground.
