  • I got one from DX as well, but mine looks different ( dealextreme com/p/2-4ghz-16dbi-directional-high-gain-16-unit-antenna-for-wifi-wireless-network-rp-sma-33016 )

    One I got works great.

  • It's crap, just like 99,9% of all stuff on dealxtreme

  • rubbish antenna

  • Those antennas are budget, build a decent homebrew yagi instead.

  • @jniovanni

Loss on SMA cable is purely defined by the skin effect caused by the frequency and current compaired to the core and shielding size. Techniquely one would 100 feet with no noticable loss for example. However such a cable would not exactly be portable(probley weighing in just short of 100 pounds), it would also be cost prohibiting. The concept of cable lenght vs signal loss is more to do with the practicality of it rather than the signal loss coeffienct.

  • You can get this cheaper at ebay about $10.00. Id like to see a comparison cantenna vs. yagi antenna video. The one with longer coax are not good do to RF loss, at 2.4ghz line loss is a big factor even with best coax. (shorter better) I run a cofe cantenna with no coax or N connector, I streamlined it, mad hole at the right spot, put antenna though, no line loss works great, just run usb extension if needed.

  • Poor equiptment anyway, those wireless usb adapters were fake off brands of the alfa 1W. Get the real deal it works so much better

  • that thing was pathetic. it was not strong at all.

or maybe it just does NOT work very well...were im at.

but i tried it. . . and it was SAD!

  • @TheVideogamesmaniac You must've been very unlucky. If you got faulty items and they didn't even respond, contact PayPal or your credit card company. Or try emailing them again and tell them you will contact PayPal (should get their attention). I've bought many items from there and most have worked flawlessly.

  • don't buy anything from dealextreme!!! They sell items that are fail, thats why its cheep. I bought 5 items and none of them was working. Tryed to contact them, no respond, no money return. Fuck you dealextreme !!!
