@NadiaFranke That's the beauty of being gentlemen and women. Most of them own estates that tenants work off of, which will give them a yearly income as well as all their inheritance. One of the reasons the Bates are so poor is because their inheritance is very small and they have no means of procuring an income; not to mention medical expenses.
