It's definately a change in regards to leadership. Obama makes the president feel closer to the people, I am not american so I can't speak for you. But it seems like it. Weather he is a good politically or not, I think that's a positive shift from the presidency to get more in tune with people.

It's a freaking correspondents' dinner, and it's meant to be a fun evening. It's also tradition. When Bush did it, he made distasteful jokes about looking for weapons of mass destruction under the tables in the Oval Office, while soldiers were dying in Iraq. Hypocrite.
