HTC Hero Scratch Test

Attempting to scratch the HTC Hero with and without a screen protector. Of course, seeing as the screen is glass, it is extremely resistant to many materials, including steel (keys, knives, etc.) and coins (copper, nickle.) However, some stones and rings (tungsten, diamond) will scratch the glass, so be careful not have it in the same pocket with any rings. It goes without saying to be careful to not drop the phone anywhere, especially on rocks.

@PeterMarkAzzopardi I didn't "want" to scratch it. If you understand the science behind hardness (read the video comment) there is little to no chance of actually scratching the screen. Steel (unless hardened, etc.) is extremely unlikely to scratch glass.

that not true it bull cause i have a htc hero and i never drop it or anything else and it has a scratch on it

@synthia20010 No, it's not bull at all. The outer layer of the screen is made of glass and it is quite impossible to have the glass scratch from solely having it in your pocket. You may have had a ring or some other source of metal in your pocket at one time or another.
