This is my triumph which i have rebuilt condensed in about 148 seconds. I havent fired her up yet and i will have to capture the special moment on video and post it on here!!!
Great Bike, am rebuilding one myself and would really appreciate your help, would you be kind enough to measure up the seat lock bracket for me, as it has been cut off on my frame and i want to re-instate it, where did you get those side panels, the only ones I have seen have a sort of bulge at the front where the frame bracket is, hope to hear from you soon Cheers.
I owned a '76 Bonneville for 25yrs and sold it for as much as I paid for it. The '68 to '71 models were the nicest running and most handsome; the oil-in-frame was heavier and the punch out to 750cc just made it vibrate more without any real gain in power (lower cr). These bikes were wonderful on the backroads but too much vibration for a lot of highway riding. Really handles nice on a dirt road. Triumph's 675 STR (my bike) is today's Bonneville, they sell all they can make! - Wayne
