@TexasMan77 I have a 1996, now it has almost 340,000 miles! Changed the alternator and the heater core, and of course a couple of batteries. I really think what helps my car the most is that I drive it everyday.

@MrRoute7 Keep changing that oil and don't drive with a lead foot leaving stop lights and you'll get thousands more miles on your escort.

I do have the SOHC enging but it must have been a great day when my car came off the assembly line. No shaking, original timing chain, VERY minimal oozing around the oil pan gasket.

Soooooo corny it's funny but ya they'll do it if ya take care of em, dad's old '86 F150 went over 300K, then he put another junkyard 300 in it and it's still drivin, God knows it's over 400 now...
