I liberated this vinyl from some c*cksu*ker using it on his windshield as a frostguard outside a church. This did not interfere with my moral code. It still plays. Track was used in a movie called 'Fire in the Sky'.

People keep asking me, where's my brother? I remember those days well, Edgar, Rick, Johnny and White Trash Live album (double album).
-
Texas and Texans rock the world. Johnny usually plays a short set but it's all great. For you Rick Derringer fans out there, Rick is at the Dallas guitar show every year. Usually hanging at his booth and shaking hands and talking to fans. Great guy, I've known Rick for 20 or so years. guitarshowdotcom

Another Allen Toussaint masterpiece covered wonderfully by Johnny Winter.
I recall rushing out from work at lunchtime to buy this LP as soon as it was released.
His 2nd release since his long drug rehab ..the 1st release was "Still Alive & Well".

@JustAintthatWay Ha ha! Maybe the good Lord himself left if there for me to turn me to the Winter sound?! Of course by stealing it, I cut myself off from solving the mysteries of what it was doing there and how the 'owner' could disrespect it so. So be it. I still love it. I have since become a vinyl freak. That little crackle and hiss as you drop the needle before the speakers boom. Aural ecstasy.

@timothycooper123 'raw electric chaos' luv it my man you is a wordsmith
Chavee 49, thank you for this post. I bought the Johnny Winter Story in high school, Gangster of Love, Road Runner etc. Enjoyed Johnny Winter, 2nd Winter, then of course as I know you know, his music unprotected was thrown into a simple mess. I've always thought of this album as a "Tribute" by his friends. He was still alive and it was time to celebrate. This was highly engineered, highly produced. I think you had classic arguments about his direction, most of us said, "I hope you make a dollar"

You're welcome packerdoctor, I had my first 'experience' of Johnny in high school too. At that time I was more into his guitar style that his vocals. I've come to realise what an amazing vocalist he is after listening to Blinded By Love.

Yes Tim... I have that excellent album too... more raw than Saints and Sinners which has a lot of strings backing. I've always liked his 3 or 4 piece back-up like the demo 'Progressive Blues', '1st & Second Winter'. Just got a hold of his '70's DVD', what a blast, though sound and video quality on some songs are poor.

My fav' Johnny Winter album along with 'Johnny Winter And'.
So many great songs, Feedback On Highway 101, Hurtin' So Bad, Rollin Across The Country, Stone County and Bony Moronie...

Personally, my all time fav Winter 'album' is the one and a half album 'Second Winter'. His demo
' The Progressive Blues...' comes in a close second.
