This was the original theme song for Metal Gear Solid. Someone making the game stole it from some Russian composer who had written this years before. As a result they had to hire Williams to write an all new song for MGS2 and the subsequent Metal Gear games.

i thought this was the theme to mgs2? i dont remember actually hearing this theme at all in the first game. and i assumed this theme was harry gregson williams's but i guess not.
