BNSF has rules about operating long hood forward, I think you're limited to 40 or 50 mph. And since the long hoods typically don't have ditch lights, you're restricted to 20 mph over crossings, if I remembered all that correctly.

SD40MAC's look a lot like Dash 9's. Only Dash 9's have cooler sounding horns and cooler looking backs. And Dash 9's are very common. SD40MAC's are very rare.

@leedleface Known as running long hood forward, it is when the engine compartment is infront. so yes! it is running backwards but it is called long hood forward.
