  • they flush the same way as in europe!!!

  • Im going to buy a australlian toilet good by 115$ water bill

  • I DONT GET IT! did it not swirl because of the kind of toilet(design) it was made or regardless of the design of the toilet it just wont swirl in that part of the world?

  • This doesn't look very water efficient. Am I wrong? 1.6 gals per flush here in CA.

  • I love my old 5.6 gallon flusher! I call it the turd killer! lol!

  • My wife, from China, will use the toilet, and then I use it and flush.

This type of flush is too inefficient; makes too much splash and aerosols tiny droplets into the air. They can be inhaled and travel quite distant.

Swirl is better at thoroughly and quietly cleaning the bowl.

It can be done with only 1.6 gallons (6 liters) of water.

1.6/.8 gallon dual flush toilets are now in USA. But they are 4 or more times more expensive than typical 1.6 toilets.

The is also a 1.2 toilet.

  • Haha since im from australia i fall into the habit of using half flush (to save water) and I do that wherever I go (if theres the half flush option)

  • this is an australian toilet!

american toilets swirl, seems like it wastes a lot of water

  • wth american toilets flush stupid

  • ruffle

  • Thats how european toilets flush

  • Yes, I do not understand why the USA does not have half-flush designs.

It may be a building code/ plumbing code requirement.

So we have a saying: "If it's yellow, let it mellow.

If it's brown, flush it down."

I have noticed that many toilets in China have halflush.

  • Yes, I remember when I arrived in your country and I thought the toilet was blocked. I hate to say it, but yes, your toilets do have a much larger "pool" which reduces the chance of matter clinging to the edges. One thing I noticed though, is that your toilets lack the "half flush" option, which reduces water wastage. I think they should create a hybrid between the two.

  • They flush the same way in Europe.

  • It gives them a liberty Spike ^_^

  • wow that toilet is going to be hard to get dirty

  • But how are you supposed to give someone a swirlie with an Aussie toilet?

  • this is wonderfull

  • HORRIBLE Aussie design!

    "Pool" too small.

Inefficient water use. Much dirty water is aerosoled where it can be inhaled and land on other surfaces.

Some dirty water remains in bowl, merely diluted.

American toilets are FAR better - Flushed with Pride.

  • (Assuming it reference's to the Simpson's "Bart vs. Australia") Thanks for answering the age old question. Hehe. =D

  • Is that an Armitage Shanks toilet? The hole looks like an Armitage Shanks.

  • um........ wtf?!?

  • what a shit video no stars

  • can you post a vid with your shit going down it?
