This is a video I created in the 90s with the legendary Jerry Reed. It is his rant on how to stop smoking. We shot it like a sitcom. FYI- He was not smoking at this time. He had been a non smoker for 20 years prior to making this piece..
Cameras - Bill Flannery and myself. Set Design by Cowboy Jack Clement. Lighting by Bob Clement. Makeup by Vansessa. Cigarette butts compliments of the Music Row studios.. Cigarettes from Mapco..
a good ole Georgia boy at peace in the red clay.

Thank you for posting this - Jerry was always so funny and had such a sense of humour, though I agree with other posts here that it can be hard to watch/listen to Another Puff as we know what effect it probably had on his health in the end. But I am glad to hear that he managed to give up smoking. He was so wonderfully talented at all he touched and still brings so much joy every time we see or hear him. We must remember to enjoy him - he did so much to make sure that we could.

Jerry Reed was a one of a kind. I truly miss him and his talent. Never knew Cowboy Jack Clement was a part of this video. Very interesting. I hope someday that someone does a tribute video to Jerry. There's got to be alot of video of his performances laying around...seems he was always on a tv show when he wasn't on the road. Jerry was an American Original.

Very sad, I am sure Jerry would agree now that lung disease has taken him from us. There are some of us, me included, that cannot over come our demons. I am still trying. Not smoking, but I wrestle with alcohol. Some days I win, some I don't. We will see what the good lord has in store for me, Jerry already knows his end. RIP buddy, one of the best guitar pickers to walk the planet.
