PART 2 of 4:
Nutnfancy's review of the outstanding G17 pistol. Mired in un-founded controversy, the superb Glock 17 came to us in the 1980s. It was a ground breaking design that still stands tall to this day. It was the result of a start-from-scratch design by Austrian Mechanical Engineer Gaston Glock who had no previous firearms design experience. Amazing. To this day the Glock semi-auto pistols are Nutnfancys overall standard of measure for any new pistol design (especially in 9mm). When I study a new design I assess it on terms of some straight forward questions. Does it beat the Glock in terms of weight, firepower, durability and reliability, ergonomics, simplicity, availability of accessories, price, and proven track record? Generally the answer is no. Yes there are some great designs out there from other manufacturers and I'm a fan of those as well. But, when the above categories are objectively tallied and considered in their entirety, the Glock design usually comes out on top (at least for my system requirements). That's an amazing feat for a design that's decades old. Nutnfancy Likeability Scale: 10 out of 10

  • hi I want to buy my first hand gun and i want one i can conceal what do you recommend?

  • when you were naming the calibers you forgot the best one, the 10mm!

  • is there a tax stamp on the 33 rd. magazine?

  • 10rd in bc canada *tear*

  • @ThisizChaveze Good luck, you'll like the glock a ton more than the Hi-point I can almost guarantee it. Have fun and be safe.

  • @li7in6 thanks man i apreciate the advice i've made my decision and im going to get the 19, i get my concealed carry permit next saturday on the 17th, the only pistol i have now is a Hi-point C-9, I found a holster that conceals it pretty good, its not the best gun and its kinda heavy, but it gets the job done, not as reliable as the glock would be but i'll use it for now

  • @ThisizChaveze IMO the G19 is the clear choice for anyone that ever plans to carry. And the nice thing about the G19 is that it isn't THAT small, it easily keeps up with the full frame guns in every catagory including capacity and accuracy. Either gun will be more accurate than you are and 15/17 rounds more than enough for any conceivable situation PLUS the option to carry more in the form of G17 and G18 mags.

  • @ThisizChaveze Clearly the 19 is the choice for a range/carry gun. The 19 can do anything the 17 can, is more concealable, and is lighter. For the additional size you don't get much with the 17 over the 19. The loss of two extra rounds and a little bit of sight radius is a very small price to pay for a more carryable gun. This is ignoring the fact that you can easily use 17/19 round G17 mags as well as the 33 round G18 mags in the G19.

  • @ nutnfancy what would you recommend a glock 17 or 19 For Range and Concealed Carry???

  • Well the glock in call of duty .. hahah just kidding
