I think it was a great show of human morals that day, and I think it is cruel to label such great acts of humanity as something god made happen. In my opinion, thinking that we humans are incapable of generosity / good deeds without a god is belittling.
It's funny, I am an Atheist, yet I read real faith into this tale. The good Reverend speaks of god, but I have faith in Human Beings in a time of crisis. I hear the words of Kevin Spacey's character in K-Pax when he says "Every being in the Universe knows the difference between right and wrong." (I am paraphrasing.)
@cloudbusterman okay nut-job boy explain this. I reach for my Bible and read Matthew 2,3,4,5 and 6, just to make sure I don't miss the context...and there naff-all about 9/11, bombs, etc... You need to leave Christianity alone, it really doesn;t need your twisted interpretations/reverse-engineered translations of plain text. Go form a cult or something.
You're all fukcking nutters. There's over 3,500 different gods created by man on this earth that we know about and yet you still claim YOUR god is the ONE and so does every other deluded fucker. You make me sick with your egocentric unfounded AND NON-EVIDENCED CLAIMS claims to KNOW the creator of the THIS FUCKING HUGE ENORMOUS UNIVERSE that was apparently DESIGNED with all it's shitty faults JUST FOR YOU!!! The insanity of your ramblings knows no bounds.
RW should also have quoted the Flying into Buildings verse of Gospel, Matthew 4.5, where the Devil attacks Jesus? To copy the only Acts of Devil, as did 9/11 bombers, is to claim to be the Devil incarnate. They were using the Devil urge-to-purge, bogus certainty mismartialization defect at point of death too. No Hellish fake Theists ever emphasised more totally their mind control cult.
The answer to Where was God? would be that Jesus Fact of God suffered this too.
Religion NEVER EVER caused war. Man, under the influence of Satan, did and still does. We throw God out with the dishwater when it suits us, then when a catastrophe happens, we wonder where we left Him. He was right there beside us all along, but we didn't open our eyes to see Him. He is beside you right now. Can you see him, feel him, touch him? He is there. Open your eyes that you may see glimpses of truth God hast for me. Now can you see him? Open your heart, too, invite him in.
There is only ONE God, not half a dozen. Call him Allah, Father, Creator - the list is endless. Our Muslim brethren have over a hundred names for him. Good God,a hundred names!. And if Allah is good enough for the Muslims, surely it is good enough for the rest of us, especially in these days of expanding Darwinism.
We need UNITY inorder to fight off Satan and his influences. We will not sink if we unite under One God, or One True God, if you like to call Him that.
It's not where God was on that day - it's where SATAN was. Satan is all around and we are oblivious to his presence. Everyone wept for New York that day. But how many people wept for Palestine? Good God, Palestine has a 9/11 every day of the week and who weeps? Jesus wept. Jesus still weeps. Moses weeps. Holy Mohammed weeps. But how many humans weep? And then we ask: where was God on that day?
