I think it was a great show of human morals that day, and I think it is cruel to label such great acts of humanity as something god made happen. In my opinion, thinking that we humans are incapable of generosity / good deeds without a god is belittling.

RW should also have quoted the Flying into Buildings verse of Gospel, Matthew 4.5, where the Devil attacks Jesus? Religion NEVER EVER caused war. Man, under the influence of Satan, did and still does. We throw God out with the dishwater when it suits us, then when a catastrophe happens, we wonder where we left Him. He was right there beside us all along, but we didn't open our eyes to see Him. There is only ONE God, not half a dozen. Call him Allah, Father, Creator - the list is endless. Our Muslim brethren have over a hundred names for him. Good God,a hundred names!. It's not where God was on that day - it's where SATAN was. Satan is all around and we are oblivious to his presence. Everyone wept for New York that day. But how many people wept for Palestine? Good God, Palestine has a 9/11 every day of the week and who weeps? Jesus wept. Jesus still weeps. Moses weeps. Holy Mohammed weeps. But how many humans weep? And then we ask: where was God on that day?
