  • @gezkah From where have you found out that women were killed when they're husbands died??? Seriously, I dont think there's much point in trying to argue with someone who can barely structure his point of view so that anyone else can understand, just what exactly are you syaing???

  • @putteringpluie Did you kno that Hinduism's original name was Sanatana Dharma? The Persians coined the word "Hindu" from the word "Sindhu", the river valley from where HIndus first originated. Thats how negligible your knowledge of Hinduism is.

  • @putteringpluie According to modern standards, promiscuity, intoxication and all things wrong are deemed just and right, so yes, in modern standards, HIndu legends, which teach virtues and self-respect, would seem stupid. You should research the core of HInduism before you believe stupid rumours and criticise the worlds longest surviving culture and religion.

  • @putteringpluie Sati did not "commit suicide" because of her husband being rejected by her father, she destroyed her body in the hope she would be born in her next life to a father she can respect. It has nothing to do with protecting her husbands pride. As for death, in Hindu legends, Gods do not fall victim to death, Parvati was born again, as shown by this video. As far as I kno, Sati was the only man or woman to destroy her own body in the entire HIndu legend.

  • @Dhanvantaran How the hell would anyone know that suicide is not "condoned"? For god's sake women were killed because their husbands had died. How the hell would we know what was "condoned", It's all fucked.

  • @Dhanvantaran You did not answer my question. Can you give an example from hindu mythology where a man commits suicide because his father does not accept his wife. Hindu mythology will be considered stupid according to modern standards.

  • @putteringpluie Think before u spurt out rubbish. This is one woman's emotion at her husband not being accepted by her father. This isnt expected of any man or woman. Besides, these did not physically happen, these are more like the Aesop's fables, told to teach people a lesson. This shows the undieing love a husband and wife should have for each other, as shown by Sati's extreme sadness and Shiva's anger at her death. If you think anyone actually condones suicide then u are very much mistaken.

  • This is an insult to all women. Can anyone imagine a man committing suicide just because his wife is not invited to a ceremony. LOL.Hindu mythology is so stupid.

  • @romett Adorned with fine jewelry, without tears, free of sorrow, they (the widows) should jump into the funeral pyre where he (the deceased husband) lies. (Righ Veda X 18:7)
