But thank God the Brits fought in Egypt before yankland even joined the war or else the Germans would have headed over the Suez Canal and into Palestine. Then Rommel would have been joined by SS who with the Arabs would have killed every Jew. Hitler promised exactly this to the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem. So thank God the Brits "pranced around" in Egypt while you were sitting on your asses.

@edwinkoning95 No, the jews are just a racist bunch, they did not like being treated like Arabs. They expected the British to treat the Arabs as second class citizens, but when the Briitsh respected the arabs as equals, the Jews did not like it.

Saw this on 6/27/2011 on PBS. I thought it was very well done and promoted the idea of religious tolerance on both sides. Fifty-one years later,not so much progress,but for that era,the movie seemed to be not at all fanatical or extreme in any way. It was a good watch and held my interest to boot.
