vamps, She is creating stress for him on purpose to bring on his death (remember, she takes acting lessons!)
freetobefreddy, I find the acting is pretty good. If the woman sounds like she is doing a bad job of it, it's probably because she has to pretend to love the guy but really wants him dead, which must be hard to do, so the director likely wants her to act badly here.
