At the end of the first ever episode
Benton has a patient with an abdominal aneurysm who needs immediate surgery, and there's no trained surgeon available at the moment. So Benton, a surgery resident still, chooses to start by himself the surgery until Dr. Morgenstern arrives.
When Morgenstern arrives, he criticizes the amateur job Benton did (a really bad incision) but tells him he did a good job after all. So he leaves the OR, and does the Benton Punch, happy to have saved the patient.

I remember watching these as a kid too!!
I think i was 5 and i used to sit on the staircase and look in to the living room.
My mum is still obsessed with this show!And so am I!!

I totally remember watching the opening credits as a kid, when my mom would record it.
and now Im addicted to the show like crazy. lol.
